The music playing at Dundas & Richmond, & The Library should showcase local artist,& be interactive
Not that I dislike the Bach/beethovan, it just has a very limited appeal & makes our city look even more conservative then it already is.
Artist from EVERY genre should be able to have their music played through out the day all along Dundas, street with a digital panel showcasing what is playing, with the ability to vote on what should be played more often. Giving London that digital/high tech/creative/etc feel that London is trying to attain.
This though CANNOT be restrained or else it will lose its focus, I mean yes some music is not exactly pg rated, but what downtown is? Neither are the drug dealers and screaming homeless people downtown, in the first place.

That music the Library plays isn't for entertainment - it is meant to drive away all those yobbos who hang around the doors for hours on end. They don't want to play music that will attract them. I'm not an opera fan so I move on pretty quickly when they start playing it. Consider it a pest control method and I guess it does mostly work.
