Sadly, the beautiful old Middlesex County Courthouse building faces the non-descript backside (and parking lot) of the JLC, and is thereby cut off from the market. I have a vision of a tiered parking facility hidden by an outdoor theatre (for plays etc), the theatre sloping down /fronting onto the old MCCHB as a theatre backdrop, wonderfully lit up for evening plays in the Summer. From the highest level of the said parking garage would be a wonderful urban garden / walkway that gracefully winds its way along JLC's current parking lots and downslopes down to the Covent Garden Market - again, more tiered gardens. This contrasts from the concept recently unveiled, where a condo building was placed in the parking lot as another impediment between the market and the forks / MCCHB area.
