Core reaction

Mayor Joe got it started with his Downtown Summit on April 27th, and there’s no good reason why we shouldn’t keep the conversation going. If you have a thought about the core that did not come up at the summit or you want to talk about any of the ideas that did, here’s your forum. Post it and see what others think.

  2. It's hopeless. Demolish what's left. Install billboards directing people to big box stores and shopping plazas in the burbs.

  4. This is not a suggestion of how to improve London, but could be twisted to fit. Improving CRF, which is here to help improve London, would improve the way we help improve. (or something like that)

I may be blind but I tried to find a :HELP" section or FAQ's for Core Reaction Forum. I know it is simple to use and not like rocket science or anything (what do rocket scientists us as comparison for an easy task?)
So here is my list of questions about CRF:

What does the Karma rating mean and how do you figure it?

  5. With the new master meters areas on Dundas St., parking areas that used to fit 6 cars parked within the painted lines now only fit 4 cars as many drivers leave too much space. That means 1/3 less space to park and 1/3 less revenueThe machines often run out of paper and appear un-maintained remaining out of service for days at a time.

  7. I am in favour of a grocery store but would not want to see the market close - I like their variety, and differences from a retail chain grocer. We currently live in Oakridge (although we've purchased a condo downtown for future) and love Remarks - we always go there for the fresh foods (ie. fruits and veges) but then go to Shoppers and/or RCSS for toiletries and soda, etc. It's nice that they are close to each other and would like to see those services/products in or near the market.

  8. A wonderfully graceful City Hall that spans the Thames where the current Dundas Street bridge does so. This would be designed by the winning bid in a design competition open to world architects, and would facilitate not just a building span, but a roadway still, observation levels, road level shops/boutiques and coffee shops etc. My inspirations (for the multi-use aspect) are Bath England's Pulteney Bridge, Venice's Rialto Bridge and Florence's Ponte Vecchio, but ours would be a sleek, modern version finally uniting us with the Forks - our past, our future.
