Get rid of the patio at Friday Night Lights
This thing is ridiculous. It takes up 75% of the sidewalk, and makes walking on it almost a hazard because you're so close to the very busy road.
I thought that with Decicco no longer being mayor, it wouldn't be able to go up anymore, or at least not be nearly as large as it has been in the past.
Seriously, how is this thing allowed to be up?
Only in London folks....

where we could have a pedestrian only area, the outdoor patios are fine, but where we don't have that luxury (because of bus service) we need to get those eyesore patios out

There should be no patios on city sidewalks. If they don't have room in front of the establishments put em in back with the trash cans. Where did that big patio come from again in front of FNL? It appears they only took it down because of the former Mayor's husbands trial. I swear it's bigger than the previous one.

It's one thing for Scot's Corner to have their little set up of a few tables in front of their store front, but it's not so bad that it makes walking on the side walk a hazard. - That stretch of Dundas isn't that busy, not to mention, you have a few parking spaces as well between you and the road.
I guess at the moment it don't really matter for Friday Night Lights because they're doing road work in front of the Royal Bank building, but just wait until they're done in a month or two. I'm actually surprised an accident hasn't happened in previous years because of this.
I think Farhi is just as much to blame for this because he owns that building, and he would have to give the 'OK' for this thing would he not?

I know the Mayor made comments to the press about them not putting that atrocity back up. The issue is, unfortunately, that there is no bylaw preventing that thing from being on the sidewalk.
We need to reach out to our Councillors and tell them we need change. -

That patio is so large that they had to remove a bus stop that had been there for years.
