    not sure how this benefits the downtown. yes, it would be nice for the non-profits but how many people and dollars would it really add to the core cash flow?

    I fail to understand what's wrong with the current city hall. not only is this the best spot, haven't we sunk millions into renovations of the current building?

    this is a horrible idea. downtown needs more parking and cheaper parking at that. yes, it would be nice if we all walked everywhere but in reality - and in the winter - this is the definition of "pie-in-the-sky" thinking. also, who's going to walk to downtown from the suburbs? people drive TO downtown and then walk around.
