An error occurred while saving the comment VikingByNature commentedToo conservative indeed! In fact just the previous day I put in a recommendation for a naturist/nudist beach or resort along the Thames River waterfront or in the Fanshawe Conservation Area.
Please read the details here: http://lfpress.uservoice.com/forums/112027-who-s-london-/suggestions/1810031-public-naturist-nudist-beach-or-resort-within-city?ref=title
Please comment and/or cast your vote as the temperatures are already scorching in some areas and so more and more people in this city--men, women and even childen--are going "clothes-free"--especially at home, like me!
I think you'll be surprised at how many people something like this can attract!
By the way, such a location does not have to be all-too-fancy and it certainly does not have to be in an area that is too public along the Thames. Also, all that I was looking for is at least a simple idea of basically allocating and existing stretch of beach along Fanshawe Lake, for example. Even just 200m-300m is good enough.
Have you been to or heard of Hanlan's Beach in Toronto? It is a very simple stretch of beach with no expensive facilities--just a volleyball area and, occasionally, mobile food stands.
A simple stretch of beach like this would also not cost the city a whole lot of tax dollars. And if I would be reqiured to pay a small daily fee of, let's say, $5/day, which is what many public-use swimming pools charge, that's fine by me!
