definitely!! the lights drive me nuts and i live near tracks and every night around 11ish have to wait for 2 trains in less than 15 minutes travel time!!!

i have spent a lot of time here, in the 80's and again for the last decade. i went abroad, as a "canadian" and smiled and chatted with people in bank line, and on the streets and was looked at like i was going to accost them. sad but true. and now, i feel like that here at home. we need to loosen up and start to smile again. london needs to not feel afraid of londoners. we're the ones that are here after the students have left, and we're the ones that will keep it together. yes DTE

OK - just to eliminate confusion, and God knows we don't want our mail or airplanes going elsewhere, let's just name ourselves after the airport. true enough! i can envision people in business suits walking to work and buses hitting slush puddles at 50kph. maybe we can create more jobs downtown by opening up more dry cleaners there...

sure, encourage people to walk in the core, but this is canada. correct me if i'm wrong, but it gets really cold here and it snows a lot for a very long time. i live down town and i sure don't like to have to walk in sub zero weather. where exactly would you suggest that the parking get moved to? i'm not seeing many places to put it and even if there were, do you really want to cover yet more open spaces with asphalt or concrete parking structures?

this would create a logistical nightmare. the traffic lights are rarely sync'd and it would exacerbate the traffic jams the trains already cause, which in turn would lead to more idling cars and way more pollution. 2 thumbs down.

The idea of free parking in London’s downtown is a good one. It could bring people to the city’s core and encourage the commerce business owners need. LFP will explore the pros and cons of this divisive issue in the weeks to come.
